But is Prophecy of Tears and Sacrifice the end?
Prophecy of Tears and Sacrifice covers the fallout of the events surrounding the Wedding of the Torn Rose and what happened afterward on the Throatian island. Multiple characters will have their own point of view chapters, including characters from Volumes I and II.
But is Prophecy of Tears and Sacrifice the end?
Long story short: Nope! There's at least 6+ books worth of content I already have outlined.
Long story long: I really, REALLY wish I could just hit publish and have all the story that's in my head into your hands, but, like most other things, the limiting factors are time and money. I'm an indie, self-publishing author, and the Symphony of Crowns and Gods project is not my primary source of income. That said, most of my writing, editing, and other pub-related tasks happen in the evenings and weekends. Costs associated with making my work as professional as possible come from out of my pocket.
When I started writing this series, I was actually writing what will become Volume IV in the future. As I worked through my first draft, I realized there was a ton of world-building going on, and I hate to info-dump paragraphs of backstory and history. By that point, my manuscript of (what will be) Volume IV was a lengthy, messy, first draft. Even in the first opening chapters, echoes from what happens in Wedding of the Torn Rose were there, and at that point, I decided to start over and make Volume I cover Wedding of the Torn Rose and have Volume II go over the Throatian perspective of the events. Volume III will be the last piece of backstory that sets up the conflicts of Volume IV, which I will diligently re-write after Volume III is done. Characters who survive the first three volumes will be present in Volume IV. They'll also get to visit more of the Southeastern Yaenian continent and Central Yaenia too.
There's a lot in store and the end is nowhere close! As always, sign up to my email newsletter for more information.
